Preconception Care

Rushbrook Midwifery offers preconception support when you're ready to start building your family.

Have a lot of questions? We can walk you through every step of the process. Full preconception care includes three to five appointments lasting more than an hour each, during which we'll cover:

• Review of health history to identify any factors which may affect conception and pregnancy
• Testing for conditions that can impact conception or pregnancy, with counseling and referrals based on results.
• What you can do to nourish yourself to support fertility and early pregnancy
• How to predict ovulation and time conception, with follow-up chart review
• Emotional and relationship readiness

Donor Insemination

In addition, we offer support for our queer and straight clients conceiving with donor insemination. We'll help you learn about the pros and cons of sperm banks and known donors, and support you in working with the donor or sperm bank of your choice. Insemination is conducted in the privacy of your home, either by us or by your partner with our guidance.
